RESTORATION PROJECT - 1970 MG Midget

1970 J Registered MG Midget Rolling shell sitting on 61/2 J Revolution wheels needs restoration - body front to back 85-90% solid, only one major rust hole on passengers side on inner wing/foot well side straight chassis. All mounting points (springs etc) solid. Rust on rear wing seams (but treatable). Front panel scruffy, bonnet has rust (surface) on back end due to leaning against the garage wall, wings need work! Rear arches professionally modified to RWA and are solid.

Basically a good restoration project - no engine but has a gear box.

1 Full Set (5 number) early midget/sprite wheels slight rust but very much retrievable.

7 x Chrome Hub Caps with Austin Healey logo in middle (will clean up)

6 x Standard Hub Caps.

1 Steering Column

1 Sprite (1275) Dashboard, missing oil pressure gauge and 2 switches (needs painting)

1 1275 axle, Diff in situ and 1 1/2 shaft in situ casing rusty (surface)

1 Bare 1275 ?head no values and missing 3 guides, seems sound.

1 Short 1098 engine minus timing gear and flywheel.

1 No 948/1098 Block and bits

2 x cranks ? a 1098 and a 1275 wearing unknown, 1275 possibly EN18T

Gearbox cross member, early speedometer and rev counter

1275 screen and surround needs bottom rubber and various odd bits.

The highest quality deep-pile blue carpet set compliments the bespoke interior. The coach trimming on this vehicle has been carried out by, arguably, Cornwall's finest coach trimmer.

A full length Weathershields folding roof is fitted with a matching black vinyl surround covering the whole roof panel.
