If only the weather had been like the previous day, the hoods would have stayed down and the woolly jumpers remained in the wardrobe. As it was, a drop of a few degrees made quite a difference to the assembly of thirteen MGCs at the Penhale Round Brewers Fayre for the gathering to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of the MGC in Cornwall.

Although a single Nightfire Red (not an original colour) MGC GT appeared later in the gathering, the predominance of colours was taken by Snowberry White, followed by Primrose Yellow. The non-appearance of a Tartan Red specimen was significant as we are led to believe that many MGCs have been resprayed, over the years, to reflect the high demand for Red sports cars.

The venue proved highly successful, especially to the Ladies with the close proximity of the Kingsley Village food hall with fine Cornish produce readily available.

Many thanks for the support of all the MGC owners who attended and to those who were unable to attend on this occasion. Further events for MGC owners will be forthcoming and you are advised to watch out on the MGC BBS for exciting new developments of benefit to all MGC owners in the near future.
